Kinder-prep
Bridging the year between preschool and kindergarten… for those who might need one extra year. A class for children who might need one extra year to strengthen concepts, learn to sit for a longer period of time or work on fine-motor skills. Children do not repeat our already successful Pre-K curriculum. This class bridges the year between preschool and kindergarten with a fun, challenging, and different experience that prepares them academically and emotionally for their next stage in school.
Kindergarten (Half- or Full-Day)
The kindergarten program focuses on preparing students for social and academic achievements. The program is comprehensive and includes Mathematics, Literacy, Social Studies, Science, and Arts. Children are exposed to: Singapore Math through the Dimensions program, Literacy through specialty programs including Raz-Kids, Scholastic News, Time for Kids, and more. Social Studies, Science and Arts are explored through STEAM and Enrichment programs.
Enrichment
Every month, children are exposed to unique learning experiences through our enrichment program! Each class compliments our already rich curriculum. These classes run on a monthly schedule and are announced with advanced notice so that parents and children are excited and prepared. In the past, themes for enrichment have included: zoo animals, famous artists, seasons, cooking, problem solving, and creative play!
Summer Camp
Summer camp is offered during July and August, and is open to new and existing students. Each week campers will participate in a wide variety of activities centered around a new theme. Through fun, project-based activities, children will be introduced to new concepts as well as strengthening existing ones. The concepts we focus on includes phonetic awareness, mathematical concepts and problem solving strategies, and following directions. Each camp is literacy based, exposing children to many quality authors, illustrators, and stories. Students will also participate in daily outdoor activities on our playground and enjoy weekly events like Sprinkler & Ice Cream Day.
Kindercapers follows the Montgomery Township School District’s Yearly Calendar with infrequent exceptions.
